Professional Bio
As a therapist, I desire to create a warm, empathetic, and safe space where you can first rest, then trust, and share your story. I believe self-awareness is essential for self-acceptance, and many people need the right space and tools to develop it. I strive to offer a creative environment where you can reflect on your thoughts and emotions and separate your past challenging and traumatic experiences from your true self. I use a person-centered approach, along with methods such as IFS, CBT, mindfulness, journaling, and expressive arts therapy. If needed, I can help you heal from trauma and PTSD, utilizing a therapy technique called Imagery Reprocessing and Rescripting Therapy (IRRT). My overarching goal for you is that you can find relief, rest, share your story, heal, and experience post-traumatic growth.

Why I do this work
I am experiencing ongoing post-traumatic growth because of a gifted and caring counselor who led me through CBT for anxiety and depression, and trauma-focused therapy for complex trauma because of childhood trauma. I truly enjoy helping others heal from unexpected life experiences, grief, and trauma, and learn to love themselves, experience growth, and thrive in life.
Best part of my job
When a client tells me they’ve reached their goals in therapy and their ready to terminate (even though I will miss each client that tells me this).
Beyond the therapy room
Going to school for my PhD, studying, and various internships for my PhD. When I get small batches of time off, I go rock climbing, hiking, play Zelda: Breath of the Wild, meditate, pray, read, spend time with friends and family and volunteer at my church.
