She/Her/Hers – Colorado

Phonetic pronunciation: Uh-Man-Duh

Professional Bio

My approach during session is to meet the client where they are at; My clients know more about their experiences and functioning than I ever will, so I focus on creating a client-centered, nonjudgmental space to engage in thought-provoking discussions with a goal of catharsis through external processing and/or developing an action plan for next steps and goals. I utilize a variety of guided meditations and skills-practice in session, to support my clients with identifying tools that fit their needs and individuality best. My hope is through building strong rapport with my clients, I can support them in building confidence and self-efficacy

Why I do this work

From a young age, I knew I would be working in a field with the opportunity to connect with others on a deeper, more emotional level. I have a passion for communication and connection. I value the catharsis and fulfillment experienced through engaging in thought-provoking discussion with another human. No words can express my appreciation of being alongside my clients during the good, the not-so-good, and the bad times.

Best part of my job

The best part of my job is the reciprocity of learning and growth I experience from my clients. No matter the teacher or student, I believe we can all learn from each other.

Beyond the therapy room

Self-care is a huge priority in my life, so in my free time I participate in a variety of creative activities including crochet, painting, collage, jewelry-making, sewing, writing, and drawing.

My partner and I love to cook and bake new recipes at least once a week. Most weekends I can be found binge-watching horror/thriller movies, listening to a wide range of music, and above all… taking naps.

Favorite quote

“For what it’s worth… it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing.”
