Maggie Wolf

Hi! I’m Maggie and I’m a therapist, eating disorder recovery advocate, and sport and performance specialist at Denver Mental Health Collective, but you can also think of me as a size-inclusive advocate, Weight Stigma Activist, and societal pressure reliever.

I help people find balance in their lives and make meaningful values-based changes. Together, we’ll work to build awareness, strengthen effective coping skills, and improve relationships.

Performance Enhancer and Movement Enthusiast

As a former collegiate athlete, I understand the pressures faced to perform at your peak mental and physical capacity consistently! I also know the transition out of competitive sports is difficult (whether by choice or not). Too often we find ourselves directionless, with a loss of identity and uncertainty as to who we are without sport.

I’m here to help you strengthen other aspects of your identity outside of sport and reconnect with meaningful movement for life that feels good for your body! Together, whether you’re actively in your sport or not, I’m here to help you identify and move towards your sport and movement goals.

Eating Disorder Recovery Advocate and Weight Stigma Activist

Recovery is a challenging yet meaningful journey. I’m here for you, whether this is your first time seeking help or have been in recovery for years. I firmly believe that all bodies deserve respect, a space to be seen, and the care that they deserve – all people deserve recovery! Body acceptance is a social justice issue that all of us are a part of. I’m here to not only help you pursue and maintain recovery, but also to dismantle noxious stigma and diet culture that has been perpetuated by media, society, healthcare, and many other areas.

Education and Training

Master’s: I received my Masters in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver.

Bachelor’s: I received my Bachelors in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Luther College.

During my Master’s internship I worked with multiple club and high school athletic teams to teach mental skills and provide guidance to better their sport performances. I have four years of eating disorder experience, having treated athletes with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and individuals who have experienced weight stigma.

More about me

Those closest to me know that I am a relaxed person that enjoys bringing humor into relationships. When I’m not collecting plants or pursuing new hobbies, you’ll find me outside either hiking, backpacking, running, or playing disc golf! I hail from the Midwest and will always be up to discuss why the Green Bay Packers are the best team.
