Amanda Giltz

Hello! I am Amanda. I’m an LPCC Master’s Level Student Therapist here at Denver Mental Health Collective, but you can also call me An Active Listener, A Teammate for Transitions, & A Self-Care Sensei. I help individuals experiencing burnout feel less overwhelmed and better manage the roles and goals in their lives. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches in my work with clients including psychodynamic, solution-focused, and client-centered. My ideal clients are feeling heightened emotions, navigating roles and relationships, dealing with unplanned circumstances, and/or are curious about starting their mental health journey.

Are you looking for a space to be heard?

Catching up with friends over coffee not cutting it anymore? Finding the time, space, and/or support to process your thoughts and reactions can be so difficult. As An Empathetic and Active Listener, I intend to create a space where you feel safe and confident to talk about anything you feel.

Do you need some support during a challenging time?

Whether you like to throw caution to the wind or look before you leap, change and transitions – planned or unplanned – can impact our daily functioning. Whether it is a positive or an unfavorable change, I will support you as A Teammate through Transitions.

Is it difficult to prioritize personal health and wellness?

Doing laundry, walking your dog, stargazing, meditation, solving jigsaw puzzles, and listening to your favorite song. Self-care can look different for everyone and is a practice that is always evolving. As A Self-Care Sensei, I will work with you to discover the activities and care that fits best for you and your needs throughout your journey.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from West Virginia University in 2023. I am working towards my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado.

MORE ABOUT ME

Those closest to me would describe me as an optimist, creative, and outgoing individual. In my free time I enjoy making art, reading, writing, cooking new dishes, and spending time with my friends and my partner. In the next year, I am looking forward to trying new recipes, graduating from my master’s program, and continuing my professional development with Denver Mental Health Collective.
