Sarah Hall

Hello! I am Sarah. I am a Licenced Clinical Social Worker and Virtual Therapist in Denver, CO but you can also call me a Trauma Decoder, Emotional Affirmer and Thought Transcender. I help traumatized, depressed and anxious individuals move towards recovery and improve everyday functioning. My ideal clients are adults suffering from complex trauma, a trauma event anxiety or depression.

Trauma Decoder:

Do you struggle with the categories of trust, safety, self-esteem, intimacy, and power and control? Most people who have experienced complex trauma are doing the best they can given the skills and knowledge they have at this time. I can assist in building skills in the five categories listed above to combat unresolved trauma. We are going to evaluate how you see yourself, the world and others through the lens of your life experiences. Let’s work together to avoid judging your past self and experiences using the knowledge of your present self. Part of this therapeutic alliance involves reducing the hierarchy of authority, knowing that empowerment is the basis of our interaction together.

Emotional Affirmer:

Do you often experience high levels of avoidance and have a hyper sense of observation? You may often feel emotionally charged with anger, a sense of urgency, and focused on uncontrolled what ifs. We can work together to calm your central nervous system through somatic techniques to uncover your inner voice and intuition, enhancing your self-confidence. People with a hyper sense of observation notice small things more than others, providing them with adequate information to make important decisions. This is a gift begging to be honed. This is an aspect of
your emotional intelligence asking to be heard. Your body consciously, unconsciously and/or subconsciously will tell you everything you need to know and I can create a safe place to figure this all out.

Thought Transcender:

Do you often question yourself, other people and situations? This can leave you with a sense of guilt and shame. Shame can cause you to feel offline, shutting your brain down. Trauma is often the result of unprocessed negative emotions. I can assist you by using clarifying questions challenging assumptions, evaluating evidence and challenging unhelpful underlying beliefs. I will provide a safe place for deciphering between emotions that resulted directly from the event and emotions as a result of your thoughts about an event. Everyone has their own truth, my job is to uncover yours.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
