Hello! I am Andrew Bako. I’m a therapist here at Denver Mental Health Collective, but you can also call me a Cycle Breaker, Identity Developer, & Supportive Listener.
I help individuals change, grow, and heal by creating a nonjudgmental space where we can identify stuck points and negative patterns that impact their life, then gain new insights and perspectives that help move them closer towards the life they want to live.
My ideal clients are adults 18+ experiencing the impacts of trauma, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
Cycle Breaker:
We all feel stuck sometimes. Maybe you’re feeling low about yourself. Maybe you can’t stop thinking about the past or worrying about the future. Maybe you’re having a hard time forming relationships, setting boundaries, or managing your emotions. We can get stuck for any number of reasons, and it can feel frustrating, demoralizing, and painful. Fortunately, with support, we can change these negative cycles. We’ll work to untangle the pieces and gain new perspective so you can overcome the patterns in your life that don’t feel helpful.
Identity Developer:
Collaboration, compassion, and curiosity are at the heart of my practice. You’re the expert of your own unique experience. Together, we’ll develop a better understanding of who you are, what you value, and how you can move closer towards discovering and being your authentic, best self.
Supportive Listener:
Empathy and trust are key for healing and growth. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, fostering a safe, supportive space where we can get to the root of your issues free of judgment.
