Jamie Golden

Hello! I am Jamie Golden, I’m a Master’s-level therapist trainee here at Denver Mental Health Collective, but you can also call me a Tension Translator, Energy Rebuilder, & Shame Shifter.

I help those struggling with racing or depressive thoughts find a balanced place of peace and show up more authentically themselves in their daily lives.

My ideal clients are people struggling with uncontrollable thoughts that do not serve them, as well as those who are undergoing transition or struggling to find their place in the systems that surround them.

Tension Translator:

Often our unwanted, racing thoughts are trying to tell us something about ourselves. However, sometimes they aren’t the clearest messengers and can do us more harm than good. Together we can figure out the messages behind the worries we have and use this newfound knowledge to make change that will alleviate you from your stressors.

Energy Rebuilder:

Do the constant stresses of your life have you feeling drained? Sometimes when we get repeatedly beaten down by our daily tasks, it becomes hard to bounce back with the bright-eyed youthful energy we’d all like to have. Similar to how our bodies need food to recover, our minds need to be fed with excitement and energy for things we love and together we can uncover how to provide that for your unique self.

Shame Shifter:

Have you ever heard the saying that there are three sides to every story? Sometimes when we undergo traumatic experiences it can feel more like there is only one, and when that story paints you as the one at fault, it can be a struggle to move past it. Together we can revisit uncomfortable history and shift the perspective of shame, finding meaning and ways to move forward.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from The Ohio State University. I am now working towards my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Northern Colorado. Throughout my education I have worked with folks experiencing a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, substance use, OCD, and eating disorders.

MORE ABOUT ME

Outside of the office you are most likely to find me on the pickleball court, off-piste, or at the park with my Husky mix Athena. I live for the Colorado sunshine and try to be outdoors as much as my easily burning skin will let me.

Please contact our office today to schedule a free phone consultation. During this time our Client Care Coordinator can talk more about what’s going on and how I can help you feel better.
