Karley Arguello

Hello! I’m Karley. I’m a therapist here at Denver Mental Health Collective, but you can also call me a Calm Creator, Mood Transformer, and Truth Teller.

I help adults experiencing anxiety and depression feel more balanced, build essential life skills, and create lasting positive change.

My ideal clients are adults seeking relief from anxiety and depression while learning tools and skills to strengthen emotional balance and confidence

Calm Creator:

Do anxious thoughts take over your day and leave you feeling out of control? Many of my clients struggle with intrusive worries that feel impossible to manage. As a Calm Creator, I teach coping skills, self-care practices, and proven CBT strategies that help you interrupt those patterns. Together, we work to reframe negative thoughts, build healthier thinking habits, and create a sense of peace. The goal is to help you live a life you control, not one controlled by anxiety.

Mood Transformer:

Do you feel stuck in a fog of low mood, hopelessness, or lack of motivation? Many of my clients with depression struggle to find joy, purpose, or energy to engage in life. As a Mood Transformer, I help clients uncover what drains them and what renews them, using many strategies including behavior modification and practical self-care tools. Together, we replace old patterns with new ways of thinking and living so you can feel more energized, self-compassionate, and hopeful for the future

Truth Teller:

Do you wish you better understood why you think, feel, and react the way you do? Many of my clients want clarity about how their brain and nervous system influence their emotions, behaviors, and relationships. As a Truth Teller, I bring direct, honest guidance paired with in-depth psychoeducation. I teach clients practical skills, like healthy communication, setting boundaries, and self-care, so they can better understand themselves and make intentional changes. The result is greater insight, confidence, and the tools to live more intentionally and authentically.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

I received my Bachelors of Science in Human Services from the University of Northern Colorado. I returned to the University of Northern Colorado for my Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my education I participated in many clubs and groups including the LEAD on, Criminal Justice Society, Research Team, and Leadership Fellows. I have mental health experience and training in private practice, group practice, community mental health, and in-patient hospitalization. Lastly, I have additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as a TEAM-CBT certified therapist.

MORE ABOUT ME

I’m a Colorado native and have never left, probably never will. I’m biracial, Latina and White, and I value how my background shapes my perspective and connection to others. My dog, Mocha, is my best friend. She is a sweet, special needs pup who keeps life full of love and purpose. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at the gym, hanging out with my family, or spending time with Mocha. I also love learning, whether it’s diving into a new topic, researching something unfamiliar, or finding ways to grow personally and professionally.
