Stephanie Gutierrez

Hello! I am Stephanie Gutierrez. I’m a therapist here at Denver Mental Health Collective, but you can also call me a Thought Tamer, Heart Healer, and Compassion Cultivator.

I help overwhelmed adults quiet their racing thoughts, heal emotional wounds, and build greater self-esteem, confidence, and stronger sense of self-worth. My approach focuses on building awareness, emotional resilience, and practical skills to help you move from simply coping to truly thriving!

My ideal clients are adults 18+ who feel weighed down by anxiety, self-doubt, or past emotional pain and are ready to invest in personal growth, emotional healing, and a more grounded, empowered sense of self.

Thought Tamer:

Do you feel overwhelmed by racing thoughts, constant worry, or self-doubt? Are your mind and emotions spinning, leaving you exhausted and unsure of your next step? You’re not alone, and you don’t have to face it by yourself. I help adults calm their thoughts and create mental space to think clearly, so you can start feeling more grounded and in control.

Heart Healer:

Many adults carry emotional wounds from past experiences that affect their confidence and self-worth. As a Heart Healer, I work with you to process those emotions safely, heal from old hurts, and grief. Together, we’ll uncover patterns that may be holding you back and help you build emotional resilience that supports a healthier, more balanced inner life.

Compassion Cultivator:

Do you struggle with self-doubt, harsh self-criticism, or feeling “not enough”? I help adults cultivate kindness toward themselves, heal emotional wounds, and strengthen their self-esteem. Together, we’ll build practical tools to quiet your inner critic, nurture your confidence, and feel more grounded and empowered in daily life.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

I graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, concentrating in Clinical and Counseling Psychology. During my studies, I volunteered supporting children at Healing Hearts and Horses and completed an internship at Pathways Hospice, working with families through grief and healing.

Since then, I have gained experience supporting adults and children with intellectual, developmental, and learning disabilities, mental health disabilities, individuals identified on the autism spectrum, and those with traumatic brain injuries. These experiences fueled my passion for helping both children and adults build resilience, process emotions, and grow in diverse and multicultural environments.

MORE ABOUT ME

When I’m not working with clients, I love spending quality time with my family and enjoying the simple joys of life. I’m a big fan of movies, exploring the outdoors, and trying out new foods—there’s nothing I enjoy more than discovering a great restaurant. I’m also a proud cat lover, and my furry friends make every day a little brighter.
